Public systems book you a theatre slot months out — and a limb does not survive the wait. Here a bed and an operating room are found for you, usually within the same week you first write to us. No referral chain, no waiting list, no “come back in six months”.

Emergency cases are accepted 24/7 — send photos from the emergency room and a microsurgeon replies the same day.

Concierge service · one coordinator, start to finish

Door to ward

A coordinator meets you at Zhengzhou airport, arranges the car and checks you in. You never hail a taxi with a cast on.

English at every step

An interpreter sits in every consult, scan and consent. Reports and discharge notes are translated for your doctor at home.

A room for your companion

Private single room or family suite, meals, a local SIM card and transport — whoever travels with you is looked after too.

Paperwork, sorted

Visa invitation letter within 48 hours, insurance forms and international card payment — all handled by the same person.

Where you stay · choose your privacy

Both options are on the ward itself, minutes from the theatre — no hotel commute, no early-morning transfer.

Private single room

A room and bathroom of your own for the entire stay — quiet nights, controlled visitors, and a door you can close while you recover.

  • En-suite bathroom
  • Single occupancy
  • Nurse call at the bed
  • Wi-Fi

Family suite

A two-room suite with its own sleeping area for a partner, parent or child — so whoever travels with you stays on the ward overnight instead of a hotel across town.

  • Separate sleeping area
  • Companion bed
  • Seating for visitors
  • Extra storage

Your room type is confirmed when you approve the plan and is priced per night inside the written quote, subject to availability on your admission date. Tell your coordinator which one you prefer at step 01.

The case that built the reputation

Seventeen segments. One hand. All alive.

A factory press severed one hand into seventeen pieces. Every segment was replanted and every segment survived — the first and only time this has been achieved anywhere in the world. The case is documented in the Chinese Encyclopedia of Microsurgery and in international journals, and the patient regained functional use of the hand.

World record verified in 2019 · presented at international microsurgery congresses

17 segments replanted on a single hand
17 segments

Replanted on one hand in a single 14-hour operation — every segment survived.

9 months

Age of the youngest limb-replant patient treated here — now growing up with a working arm.

Same table

8 features

China Central Television documentaries on limb salvage and microsurgery advances.

Every case is operated by a named senior surgeon.

No rotating junior rota, no operating behind a screen. You know who is holding the instruments before you buy a ticket — and that surgeon follows your recovery personally.

Visiting faculty from European and Chinese academic centres review complex international cases with the team every month.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to have major surgery in China?
Our centre is a tertiary hospital under China's national classification, with two provincial key disciplines and a microsurgery team in the building around the clock. Replantation and free-flap volumes here are higher than at most Western centres — which is exactly what drives competence in a field where outcomes depend on repetition. You will see the surgeon's case data and the exact theatre before you commit.
What do I pay before I decide to travel?
Nothing. The online assessment, the written surgical opinion, the trip planning, the visa invitation letter and the airport pickup are all free of charge. You commit only once you approve a written all-inclusive quote — and that quote is not revised after admission.
What happens if something goes wrong after I fly home?
You leave with a written operative report, imaging and a rehab plan your local doctor can act on. Your surgeon stays reachable by video for the agreed follow-up period, and we coordinate directly with your physician at home if a complication needs local management.
Will my insurance pay for any of this?
Most international plans reimburse rather than pay upfront. We issue itemised invoices with procedure codes your insurer can process, plus a medical necessity letter from the operating surgeon. Some patients recover a substantial share of the cost; we will tell you honestly if your policy is unlikely to cover it.
How long do I need to stay in Zhengzhou?
Two to four weeks is typical: admission within days of arrival, surgery shortly after, then inpatient rehab and a wound check before you are cleared to fly. Complex reconstruction or bone transport may need longer — we give you the realistic window before you book flights.
Who is this not for?
If your condition is stable, well managed locally and does not need microsurgical expertise, travelling is not worth the risk or the cost — we will say so. Acute life-threatening emergencies should be treated at the nearest hospital first, wherever you are.
